It would be a time consuming process to add all records on a floor plan one by one. Fortunately there is a built-in utility that can mark an unlimited amount of records on the floor plan in one go. The instructions in this topic explain how to use this. For instructions on marking a single record on the floor plan see the topic marking resources on the floor plan.

Note that this process will mark all resources that are currently in view, on the floor plan.

·This process is carried out from the resources table, so make sure this is visible on screen by clicking the icon on the left menu.

·Next, make sure that only the records to be updated are displayed on the screen. This can be done by using flagging or by using Quick or Advanced search (or a combination). For example, to mark a set of resource belonging to a particular classification, perform and advanced search to bring them up first.

·Once the resources to be updated are selected, click Tools / Floor Plan... from the top menu.

·A new box will open. Select the appropriate floor plan from the drop down menu and that floor plan will load in view.

·Click a locate on the map to designate all of the selected resources that location. Notice that the blip will flash where the mouse is clicked.

·Click Apply and a prompt will display asking to confirm whether the resources selected should be assigned this location on the floor plan. In this example, the prompt displays 14 records because this is how many have been selected.

·Click OK to confirm and these resources will now be assigned the chosen position on the floor plan. Another prompt will display to confirm if the operation was successful.

This process can be repeated as many times is necessary by using the same steps as above but for different resources and using different positions on the floor plan.
