Audio

It may be desirable to add Audio items to the catalogue. Audio items can be any physical items of audio such as CD's, tapes, mini-discs etc.

Note the following when adding an Audio resource.

·When cataloguing an Audio resource type the system prompts to add a barcode and ISBN.

Ensure that in the Barcode box, the accession number is entered. This is normally stuck on to the inside cover of the book and is unique to the library system. No resource can have the same barcode/accession number.

The EAN / ISBN is not usually applicable here, it can be left empty if it is not required.

·Items of the Audio resource type cannot have audio files attached to them. To upload video files (.AVI, .MP4, .flv) see the Live Media resource type.
