Hardware

Hardware such as mobile phones, tablets, projectors, cameras and laptop computers may want to be put onto the library system so they can be borrowed. For these resources it is recommended to use the dedicated Hardware resource type.

Note the following when adding a resource under the Hardware resource type.

·Resources under catalogued under this type can be borrowed and therefore require a unique barcode number, much like when cataloguing a book.

·Quite often it's required to have a different loan period / allowance for hardware items. See this topic on restrictions for more information about how to configure this.
