A Periodical or "Periodical template" as it is labelled throughout this online user guide, contains the main details of the resource type such as the Title, Classification, Publisher and ISSN. The idea in the library system is that a Periodical template is catalogued and then subsequent Periodical Issues are catalogued from the template, containing the appropriate Volume and Issue number and any other details related to that resource.
