OverDrive Configuration Settings

The content in this section is applicable when the full version of OverDrive has been purchased, it explains how to set up the full integration. If the full version has not been purchased then please see information about trialling OverDrive or contact MLS.

The steps below explain how to configuration the OverDrive integration. Doing this is essential to using the system, it will allow content to be automatically downloaded to your catalogue when purchased from the OverDrive Marketplace and enable borrowers to start downloading eBooks.

To complete the steps in this topic, you need to know the following settings beforehand:

Website ID

Library ID

ILS Name

If these settings are not known then they can be retrieved from your OverDrive representative. Once these settings are known, proceed with the steps in this topic.

·Open the Management page and select Settings / Module Settings / OverDrive Settings... from the menu at the top.

·The following box will open:

·If the Enable Trial check box is enabled, un-check it. Alternatively, when text is typed in to any of the text boxes this will be automatically un-checked.

·Enter the Website ID, Library ID and ILS Name into the respective text boxes.

·Click OK when this has been entered.

The resources that you purchase on the OverDrive marketplace can be automatically set to import into the catalogue on a regular basis. This can be done using the Catalogue Enrichment option in the Scheduler. Click here for more information.
